Online Registration Form
The deadline for regular registration
is Friday, August 31, 2007.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Late Registration: Your registration form must be received or postmarked by Friday, August 31, 2007, or will otherwise be
considered late. A late fee will apply to all registration forms
received after the deadline. No exceptions.
2. Paid Fee or Purchase Order Needed for Registration: Your
law school will not be considered officially registered until
the registration fee is received. You may send a copy of your
college or university purchase order to be considered registered,
but must submit payment either before or on the day of the event.
If it will take time for your law school to process a check, please make a note of this. An additional late fee of $50 will be applied to all schools making
payment after the event on November 2, 2007.
3. E-Mail Confirmation: Once your registration form is received, you will receive an official confirmation
letter by e-mail. Once your payment is received, we will e-mail your receipt. Hard copies of your confirmation letter and receipt will be sent by mail only by request. We are happy to fax copies by request.
4. E-Mail Information: Further details or other pertinent information
regarding the event will be sent via e-mail once you are registered.
5. Limited Table Availability: The number of available tables
is limited. Due to limited space on the University of Houston
campus, we will have to conduct the Law Fair in two locations
in the University Center (as we did in 2005). The first schools
to register will receive a table in the Houston Room. After all
available tables are filled in that location, schools will be
assigned a table in the Cougar Den. All tables will be reserved
on a first-come, first-served basis. After all tables are filled,
registration will be closed.
6. No Table Sharing: No table sharing between schools will be
allowed this year. No exceptions.
7. No Competition: No other conference activities including workshop
sessions and panel discussions will take place during the two-hour
period when the Law School Recruitment Fair will take place.
8. No Guarantee of Results: Although we will work very hard to
publicize the event widely and offer incentives (such as special
admission tickets and drawings for gifts) to encourage attendees
to participate in the fair, unfortunately we cannot guarantee
that a certain number of students will attend the fair or stop
at your school's table.
9. Disabilities/Dietary Requests: Please let us know of any accommodations
for disabilities that you might need, as well as any special dietary
requests for the breakfast and luncheon.
10. Sending Marketing Materials: Every law school may send one
(1) box which will be placed on their assigned table. The boxes
will be opened, but the contents will remain untouched.
11. Removal of Marketing Materials: Please remove all of your
marketing materials from your table no later than 5:00 PM. If
they are not removed, they will be thrown away as the university
needs to clear the room for an evening event. We will not be responsible
for materials that you don't recover after the fair.
12. Not Responsible for Tracking Boxes: We will not be responsible
for boxes that are not received in time to arrive at the conference
site. Please make sure we receive your box containing marketing
materials between October 22 and October 27, 2007. You must track
your own package to be certain it has arrived. We will e-mail
you with details as to where to send your box at a later date.
13. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Your registration fee will be
refunded only if you e-mail or fax a written cancellation letter
by the deadline of Friday, September 28, 2007. You may also mail
in your cancellation letter, but it must be postmarked by Friday,
September 28, 2007. There is a $50 administrative fee that will
be subtracted from your registration fee. No refunds will be issued
for cancellations after this date unless the conference and law
fair are cancelled.
14. No Liability: Neither the National Black Pre-Law Conference
and Law Fair, the University of Houston, their representatives,
or anyone else affiliated with the Conference or the University
will be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to the
law fair exhibitor, or the employees or representatives of the
exhibitor, or his/her property, for any cause whatsoever either
prior to, during, or subsequent to the event.
Finally, we will provide a station with bottled water and sweets in both fair rooms. If you have any complaints, concerns, or suggestions at the fair, please ask to speak with the Fair Manager. No other person has the right or authority to speak on behalf of the conference or fair (e.g. promise refunds, change table assignments, or make any other decisions.)
